The bulk of my practice is Family Law. My goal is to guide you and help navigate through the many stages of a family law proceeding, from initiation to finalization, with empathy, compassion, and honesty, and minimal financial stress on you. I also have experience with Department of Hearings and Appeals (DOHA) administrative law hearings, security clearance reapplications, Responses to Statement of Reasons, et cetera.

There are so many attorneys, why pick me? How am I different?

Family law is a tricky business, so firstly, you want to hire an attorney that knows the rules, the laws, and the overall process. You wouldn't go to a cardiologist if you were having problems with your feet, right? So you want an attorney who practices exclusively family law for your family law matters.

Secondly, you want an attorney that you can trust, and can have open lines of communication. So I suggest that you speak with several attorneys to get a feel for each one, and choose the one you are most comfortable with. You want one who can explain things to you so that you understand what is expected, what is going to happen, and that all of your questions have been answered.

Thirdly, any family law matter is emotionally charged and complicated. The highest litigated issues in a dissolution/divorce case are custody, visitation and support. These 3 issues represent about 85% of the motions heard in family court today.

When meeting with any attorney, you want to ask about their court experience, and case management style. Some attorneys are litigators, and prefer to fight about all in court, and spend thousands and thousands of dollars. Some attorneys do not even go into court one time. You want an attorney that will suit what you want to accomplish in your case. Do not be afraid to ask for what you want!

I have extensive experience with military matters, and the unique aspects that arise in military divorces and separations. These include how to handle deployments, extensive training, military incentives such as B.A.H, B.A.S, base housing, retirements, thrift savings plans, etc.
