San Diego Country Estates
Just around the hill from "in town" Ramona is the Estates, with its
neighborhood feel, where you can jump on your horse for a trot around the
beautiful hills.
Ramona's Famous Rodeo
One of the highlights of this community is the Rodeo which happens every mid-May at the Fred Grand Arena. Featured are the rodeo, parade, western dance, food and cook-offs.
Ramona Fair
Every mid-August Ramona Country Fair becomes a local as well as a county event. It is growing in stature as a most viable fair. It features Junior Fair, Jr. Fair Auction, parades, concessions and cook-offs.
Two Golf Courses
Pictured is Mt. Woodson Country Club. It is one of two Ramona Golf courses; the other being San Vicente Inn and Golf Club, southeast of Ramona in the San Diego Country Estates area.
Amy Strong Castle
This beautiful structure, known in the area as "The Castle", is a famous landmark in San Diego County. Built years ago, the original owners constructed the huge building to resemble a castle.
