Rams Hill Community Association

PO Box 119, Borrego Springs, CA 92004

Phone: 760-767-1158

The purpose of the Rams Hill Community Association is to maintain the properties in common within the 400 unit Rams Hill development, which includes six separate neighborhoods (each with its own association). These include Casitas at Rams Hill, Santa Rosa Patio Homes, Santa Fe Patio Homes, San Felipe Custom Homes, Vallecitos Custom Homes and the Estates Custom Home site lots and homes.

The community was founded in 1983.

In addition to maintaining the landscaping of the common areas, which includes the Rams Hill Country Club and six miles of streets, the association keeps a 24-hour guard on duty at the front gate.

The association board of directors includes President, Trudy Melvin; Vice President, Ginny O'Neel, president; Blythe Cavanaugh, secretary, Fran Allen; treasurer, Jean Anderson. They meet monthly and at the community association office.

Officers are chosen at the annual meeting in April. They serve one-year terms.

The association board oversees the neighborhood associations in matters of architectural standards and CCRs. Each neighborhood has its own CCRs. The association's function is to make sure that the whole project keeps common standards, thus ensuring continuity and to maintain property values.

Karin Shugart, the on site manager for Professional HOA Consultants Inc., of San Diego, comments, "The board has worked hard, in spite of costs going up, to keep a tight budget and to maintain the property."

Rams Hill has a championship, 18-hole golf course, with a pro shop and lounge. There are men's and women's golf clubs. They put on tournaments all during the season. There's also a bridge group, tennis group, mah jong club and walking groups. They all form the core of a rich social life.
